Stuff we use

With These Chairs and This ViewRelaxing Requirements - Our favorite outdoor chairs are Lafuma Recliners. You can buy similar chairs at RV supply stores like Camping World but we prefer this brand. They seem more sturdy and they offer replacement parts. Use this link Lafuma Recliner to checkout the various styles and colors available. You can also purchase chairs from this website, but I have no experience with them. We bought our black one at the Tom Johnson RV dealership in Marion, NC and the blue one was a frequent shopper gift from our local supermarket. Note - they come in different sizes. The blue one is larger than the black. Tom is 6’5 and I am 5’5 so we appreciate the different sizes. The view courtesy of Willow Tree RV Resort in Longs, SC.

With a Fire & Goldilocks’ ChairsStaying Warm & Comfortable - Some chairs were too small, others too soft - but these are just right!
We bought these @ Camping World but unfortunately I don’t see them on their website - so i’m not adding a link. The tag says they are made by Support Seating Technology. These collapsible chairs which come with carrying bags are similar to others made of canvas that you see everywhere - but note they do not have “soft arms”. We like these arms better and also the seats - they are not as flimsy so we can GET OUT of the chairs easier. An important requirement @ our age you see.

It’s Five O’Clock SomewhereWhat time is it? - It did not take long for us to add a good size clock in the front living area. Some RVs have wall space to hang a clock but we do not. I finally decided to put it on a stand on the front dash. Though I have to set it up each trip - it’s not a big deal. It’s a nice size and we can both see it easily. I put one of the sink covers underneath it for stability - just turn the cover upside down to avoid scratches on the finished surface.

For my Drinks My Table - Tom’s seat inside the Bus is the Euro Recliner mine is the sofa. He has a built in table and I have this tree stump. I’m not complaining - it works great. It’s heavy so it won’t tip over, big enough to hold a drink and small enough to walk around. Tom had this stump for years. I believe it came from the home he grew up in. We store it on its side inside one of the white baskets - discussed below. Next time you see a big stump consider how it might make a great side table in your RV.

Is a Must for Us !Staying Organized - Like most RVers, we figured out real quick we would need easy access to all the reference materials that came![]()
From Walmart with our bus - so I filed most of it in these colored binders and the rest resided in a vinyl bag provided by Tiffin. All of it use to lay flat in this cabinet - sliding around while on the road - until I found these storage aids.

From TargetThe colored binders I found at Walmart and the black file boxes are leather (supposedly) from Target. They hold the larger manuals and campground books, etc.

Metal Standand this stand I found at a local container store is perfect to keep those binders standing. I’m guessing you could find a stand like this at Office Max. There is ton of stuff in those colored binders - too much to fit on those white labels on the spine - so I need to add a 1 page xref sheet to the inside of the cabinet door - someday. Preferably this life.

EntertainmentRainy Day - This cabinet holds our DVDs, games, books, etc which are stored in the left side of the cabinet discussed above. I bought this DVD case @ a local container store. It holds 28 DVDs and cost $25.
These cases are designed to stack on top of each other and I believe we could fit another one on top of this one in this cabinet, but i’m not sure we’ll need it.
We don’t own many DVDs - in fact this is our entire library - we don’t have any at home. Some of our favorite movies we enjoy seeing more than once includes National Treasure, Something’s Gotta Give, Cinderella Man, Love Actually and of course Robin Williams - RV the Movie. I keep the scrabble game behind the DVDs and could fit a few more games back there if needed.

With Rubbermaid Keeping it Nice and Tidy - All the cleaning stuff under our kitchen sink started to multiply before i organized it. As you can see, we have
a big space under this sink. It’s where we store cases of soda and water and of course these cleaning supplies. I found these totes at Walmart and they are a perfect size to fit under here. *Note - per Rubbermaid these totes were made exclusively for Walmart but are now discontinued. *sigh* Hopefully you can find something similar at a container store.

Baskets & BagsOur Suitcases - We have 5 of these white clothes baskets, 2 of the freezer bags , 4 of these red “wine” bags, and about 10 of the green recycle bags. These are used to transport our clothing, food, etc. between our home and the Bus. I leave 2 of the white baskets on the Bus - one is used to store the tree stump the other stores accessories while we are traveling.
The freezer bags come in real handy as it takes our fridge a good 6 hours to get completely cold and they hold a lot. We add a few of those re-freezeable blue things to each bag. The red & green bags are the latest addition — they are the perfect size and easy to carry with the handles - I especially love the compartments in the red bag. We bought the baskets at Walmart and the freezer bags and the red & green bags at the local grocery store.

Made easy with these lap desksMeal Time -
We bought 2 of these lap desks @ Bed Bath and Beyond and use them as TV trays. I also use one when I want to surf the internet from the sofa.
