Breakfast Club
It’s been days since I sat @ my sewing machine, but yesterday I tackled a couple of little projects.

Click to See the Wonky PartI have lots of charm squares - some I’ll probably never use so a few were sacrificed to test my coaster making skills. The design follows some of those I found on Sew MaMa Sew. Course I can’t seem to find the post where the gal quilted hers into spiral squares like mine. Hers were perfect — ummm mine not so much. I gotta find a more forgiving stitch if I make any more.
And I made this flying clucker using the pattern and parts I bought from the Art Fabric Studio.
Unfortunately another wonky result. The beak is upside down. he he
Quilt Time
It was a quilt weekend for me and I made a pretty good dent in my unfinished projects. I sent String Bean to the Long Arm quilter and I’m nearly done binding the Bus tabletop quilt — 2 sides done 2 to go.
Now for the bigger challenge. Orange Crush. I believe I saved it from the stash bin. All work on it came to a stop during the family room renovation project and by then many gals were done with their OCs. The more I looked at finished versions the more I felt the orange was too much for my home so I reworked it and here is the new result.
Some gals who did not use orange gave their quilts different names…like Berry, Lime, or Creme Crush. What to call mine? Hmm. Not sure. I think it may look nice hanging in our exercise room which has sliding doors to our pool. The blue has the look of the water. The rust squares resemble wood. Hmmm maybe I should call it Wood and Water? Whatever. Doesn’t matter. I’d just like to call it done. Preferably in this life. Geez - I gotta start working on smaller projects, cuz speed is just not in my bones these days. Like it ever was.
