Finding Campgrounds Update, etc.
I’m sewing today…trying to catch up on the Mystery Quilt. Bonnie published Step 4 early. Of course. Slapping Head But before I head into seclusion, I thought I’d share a couple of recent RV finds.
I found another cool link for the Finding Campgrounds section @ RVLife. I don’t know the owner or how I found his site as I just stumbled onto it when researching campgrounds earlier this year. Lots of pictures from the many campgrounds he has visited over the years. Seems he might be moving his info to another website platform soon. He talks about it in a message posted in the discussion area. I’m going to sign up for this group so I can stay in touch after he moves.
And I found a company to make a welcome sign to display when we are camping. Visit Craftvilage to see their options which also includes Class Cs, 5th wheels, trailers, pop-ups and state images, etc. Plus many, many non-RV related signs. His turnaround is about 2 weeks. You pick the words, colors, etc. I asked him to change the MH coloring to better match ours and he’s doing that too. Obviously the stock image doesn’t look exactly like our Bus, but close enough. Our sign plus a stand and shipping came to $57.

We might have to get another sign made when we get a puppy like this. smile
I look at puppy websites every night. Tom’s warming up to the idea though some days he wavers. Me too - I still need to be really, really sure. This little cutie is no longer available. Dang She is a Schnoodle (part Schnauzer - part Poodle).
Here is Pat’s Schnauzer, Molly in their motorhome last year. Pat is a frequent blog visitor and gave me some insight into traveling with a dog the first time I started thinking about it. Thanks to everyone for sharing the pros and cons - I do appreciate it. I have a lot more thinking to do, but I must say looking at this picture makes me want to just go do it! Melt

We have a Yorkshire Terrier who is two years old and just purchased a playmate for her. We got (Lucy) at 10 weeks and she is now 16 weeks. She is 300 grams and has a bladder the size of a pea! No sleep and spots all over my carpeting....Think twice! We love her dearly and I'm sure the penny will drop... some day.
The sign sayes Buffalo, New York. What are having put on yours? Are you going to bite the bullet and actually say you are from Florida? :>)
Thanks for the link to the Craftvilage! Perfect for what we have been looking for ourselves and a couple family members. Their home and the cabin in the woods. Also, checked out rvlife. Great pictures to check in this SE area for the COE campgrounds. The schnoodle is adorable, but remember they take alot of TLC. You and Tom need a FurKid! Thanks for sharing! Have a great weekend!
my girlfriend breeds yorkies.....she just had a litter and they are posted on AZCentral.com She has a pic of the girls one in a tea cup. . So cute
Yep - Peter I too have reservations about a pet. It may take us another year to decide or we may choose to wait til Tom is retired. I vowed for many years after my son was grown to never own another, and it's now been over 10 years since I had one. Something is drawing me back to them. We'll see. .
George -- Yep our sign will reveal where we live!
Your welcome Nita. I know I need a furkid, but can I handle the care or want to, that is my only concern.
OK Nan - -you must quit tempting me. I have seen those teacup dogs -- Tom's afraid he'll step on it. he he.
You know how I feel about having traveling dogs. I love my two and enjoy traveling with them. They also love it.
I always hated leaving Molly in a kennel when we vacationed so we got a MH. We had no problems potty training. I used a crate.
Both of mine have to be groomed every few weeks so that is an added expense but both breeds that we have (Schnauzer & Maltese) are non shedding so there is no hair to clean up after.
I agree that you certainly need to take your time to decide. It's quite a commitment but I think the love they give us in return is the payback.
Molly says thanks for adding her photo to your blog!
She's welcome Pat! He He... what a cutie.
